NORMAN, Okla. - Blas Ayesa, Said Powers and Exequiel Rodriguez of Oklahoma Christian men's golf were recognized as 2023-24 NCAA Division II Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar Athletes, Cobalt Golf and the Golf Coaches of America Association announced Thursday.

To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their Associate's Degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA.

In addition, they must participate in 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I, under 78.0 in NCAA Division II, under 79.0 in NCAA Division III, under 78.0 in NAIA, and under 77.0 in NJCAA, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.

This is the second year in a row head coach David Lynn's program has produced three All-America scholars, with Alejandro Armijo, Mateo Pulcini and Rodriguez earning the honor in 2022-23.

"I am extremely proud of [Blas Ayesa, Siad Powers and Exequiel Rodriguez] for achieving what I consider to be one of the highest honors of our sport," Lynn said. "Being recognized for your play on the course and your achievement in the classroom says a lot about how these three guys dedicated themselves to high standards everyday. I am in awe of all their hard work and how well they represent Oklahoma Christian and our golf program."

Rodriguez, who was also named the 2023-24 Lone Star Conference Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year, has been named an Academic All-American in back-to-back years while also being recognized for his play on the course as he nabbed PING Second Team All-America honors.

Along with Rodriguez, Ayes picked up All-America honors both on and off the course as the fellow Argentinian was named a 2023-24 PING Honorable Mention All-American.

Ayesa, Powers and Rodriguez helped OC men's golf reach its third consecutive NCAA Division II National Semifinals in 2023-24. Ayesa and Rodriguez will return for the Eagles for the upcoming 2024-25 season as the quest for a National Championship begins with the NCAA National Preview from West Palm Beach, Fla., Sept. 23-24.
