Canyon, Texas - Coming off a 5-2 win over No. 5 seed Angelo State last night, Oklahoma Christian took on the No. 8 seed Regis, who upset the No. 1 seed West Texas A&M in the regional opener.
Â
Oklahoma Christian wasted no time, striking first on an
Aaliyah Brown RBI single that plated
Brooklin Bain, who reached on a single, advancing to second on a groundout, and third on a wild pitch.Â
Â
OC blew the game open in the top of the third, scoring on a
Karsyn Iltis RBI single, and taking a five-run lead on a three-run home run off the left field foul pole from the bat of
Kristen Whitehouse.
Â
The Eagles had five hits in the inning, with

Â
A bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the six tied the game at 5-5 and opened a new game going into the seventh inning.
Â
Brooklin Bain and the Eagles' offense wasted no time regaining the lead, as Bain singled and advanced on a Ki. Brewster sacrifice bunt to open the inning. A
Whitney Walde single advanced Bain to third, and in the next at-bat Walde drew a throw to second base on a steal attempt, allowing Bain to swipe home.
Â
Kadence Brewster earned her second win of the season in the circle, getting Oklahoma Christian out of a jam in the bottom of the sixth, and pitching through the seventh, with the game ending on a diving catch by
