Serrato has Career Day, Baseball Splits Series with Cameron

Lawton, Okla. - Oklahoma Christian was back in Lawton for the second doubleheader of the four-game series with the Cameron Aggies.

Game One
Silas Cowgill threw four strong innings, holding Cameron scoreless through the first three, and only allowing one run in his outing.

A two-run error gave the Aggies a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the sixth, and those went on to be the deciding runs.

Daniel Serrato scored the Eagles' lone run, a solo shot in the top of the 7th inning, his second of the season.

Game Two
The Eagles jumped on the Aggies early, taking a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning from the bats of Ethan Box and Johnny Behm. Box hit a two-RBI single to open a 2-0 lead, and Behm capped the inning with a sacrifice fly RBI.

Cameron got one back in the bottom of the first, but in the top of the third Daniel Serrato stretched the lead back out to three on an RBI groundout.

CU had a four-run fourth inning to take a 5-4 lead, their first lead of the game, and they stretched it to 6-4 in the fifth on an RBI double.

Oklahoma Christian fought back in the seventh inning, scoring runs on a wild pitch that brought in Box, and another Serrato sac fly RBI.

Pitching took over and the game stretched deep into extra innings.

Daniel Serrato continued his career day, hitting his second home run of the day to give the Eagles the lead in the top of the 14th at 7-6.

In the bottom of the 14th, the Aggies responded and scored two runs to win a walk-off RBI single.

Up Next
The Eagles will be back at Dobson Field for senior weekend, where they will honor the 2024 seniors on Sunday afternoon, but the series will begin with a single game on Friday night.
