Eagles Sweep Doubleheader to Open Series with Aggies

Lawton, Okla. - Oklahoma Christian, in a new weekend schedule due to the weather in the forecast, axed the Aggies of Cameron in a doubleheader on Friday afternoon.

Game One
Naut Kragt pitched the first complete game of the season for the Eagles, throwing seven innings and only allowing three runs while striking out six Aggies.

On the offensive side, the middle of the lineup got things started, rallying from a 3-0 deficit, starting that rally in the top of the 6th on a Justin Spencer RBI double. Johnny Behm followed that up by driving in Hunter Jones, cutting the lead down to one.

Greg Maskarinec had the game-winning hit, scoring Michael Buckley on a two-RBI double to give the Eagles a 4-3 lead that they would hold on to to close out the game.

Behm went 3-3 with an RBI, Ethan Box went 2-3 with a run, and Sam Rodman picked up a hit as a part of OC's eight in game one.

Game Two
Oklahoma Christian jumped on the Aggies in game two, scoring the first four runs. Ethan Box picked up an RBI on a walk, Justin Spencer followed that up with a two-RBI single, and Michael drove in the final run of the three-run third on an RBI single.

The Eagles picked up another run in the 4th on a Cameron error, giving them a 5-1 lead. In the sixth, Sloan Laird, who returned to the lineup after his walk-off home run bat flip, drove in two on a single, plating Hank Heiselbetz and Sam Rodman.

A Cameron grand slam cut the lead to 7-5, and in the 8th, they cut the lead to one on a sac fly.

Justin Spencer extended the OC lead in the top of the 9th on a sacrifice, Box made it a three-run lead by scoring on a wild pitch, and Jadan Boyce drove in Buckley to give OC a 10-6 lead, which was the final score.
