Eagles Drop to the Greyhounds in High Scoring Series

Oklahoma City, Okla. -
Oklahoma Christian (8-34, 8-32) looked to end the series with a two-game split at home with Eastern New Mexico (18-24,16-24).

Game 4
The Greyhounds took an early 4-0 lead before the Eagles had a chance to bat.

The Eagles would answer in their first time at bat, started by two disciplined at-bats from Ethan Box and Hunter Jones to draw two walks in a row. Justin Spencer smacked a double into right-center to bring in the first run for the Eagles and cut into the Greyhounds' lead.

The Eagles would get another run back in the bottom of the second with an RBI sacrifice fly from Hank Heiselbetz to the Greyhounds lead in half

ENMU would find more momentum on their side in the top of the third to put a few more runs on the board.

Ethan Box stepped into the batter's box in the bottom of the third with Hunter Jones on first base and cranked a ball over the left field wall to bring the score to 6-4, as the Eagles continued to keep the ball game in their grasp.

The Greyhounds would try to keep the Eagles at bay with a big inning, putting up four runs.

Tristian Copeland pitched a solid couple of innings in relief for the Eagles, striking out three ENMU batters and didn't allow a run or even a hit.

In the bottom of the ninth, Heiselbetz and Johnny Behm quickly got on base with two singles to the outfield. Jones was able to drive in Heiselbetz to put one more run on the board for the Eagles before falling to the Greyhounds.
