Wichita Falls, Texas - Oklahoma Christian (21-14.17-10) took on Midwestern State (5-28,3-21) in Wichita Falls, Texas, in a doubleheader Saturday afternoon.
Game 2
In the first inning, the Brewster twins put on a clinic for smart baserunning. Kiley Brewster getting on off a single up the middle and Kadence Brewster forcing the Mustangs to make an early error, putting Eagles on the corners.
The Eagles' momentum built up pressure for the Mustangs, leading to another mistake, allowing Kiley to score off a wild pitch, giving the Eagles the early 1-0 lead.
Pitching for the Eagles in game two, Grace Anderson pitched an outstanding complete game shutout. Anderson only allowed four hits, issuing no walks or hit batters, and recorded five strikeouts. Anderson is now 10-7 on the season.
The Eagles created more offense going in the top of the seventh with five singles in the inning, including four in a row.
Kristen Whitehouse got things started with a single to right field. Karsyn Iltis stepped up next with a single to right field. The first run of the inning came across with Whitney Walde in the batter's box next, hitting a single to left field, bringing in Whitehouse.
Kylie Janzen hit a rocket to right field to bring another run across for the Eagles. The last hit from the Eagles came from Kiley Brewster, hitting an RBI single with a hard-hit ball right at the shortstop for an infield single.
The Eagles would get three quick outs to clinch the series win and go into game three with a chance for the series sweep.
Game 3
The Mustangs took the lead in the final game in the bottom of the fourth inning with a solo home run. That home run would be the Mustangs' first run of the series.
Brooklin Bain would finally get the Eagles on the board, scoring in the top of the fifth.
Bain would get on with a lead-off walk to begin the inning and advance to second and third off sacrifice bunts and hits from the Brewster twins. The Mustangs would make a costly mistake of a wild pitch that would allow Bain to score from third to tie the game at 1-1.
The Mustangs would grab the lead back in the bottom of the fifth with a two-run home run.
The Eagles would strike again in the top of the sixth, starting with back-to-back walks from Whitney Walde and Kylie Janzen.
Coming up clutch with a pinch-hit, Kallie Rupp would drive a ball to center field for an RBI single.
The Eagles tied the game up by taking advantage again of a wild pitch and Janzen scoring from third.
Game three would need more than seven innings to decide the game.
Kiley Brewster broke things open in the eleventh inning with a lead-off triple, setting up Aaliyah Brown to hit a hard-hit ball in the infield, and Brewster was able to beat the throw to home to give the Eagles the lead going into the bottom of the eleventh.
Grace Anderson came in relief and pitched a shutout five innings to earn the win for the Eagles and clinch the sweep.

The Eagles will play again on Thursday evening when they open the conference series with Texas Woman's at home. This series will be played with one game on Thursday and a doubleheader on Friday to avoid the Easter Holiday weekend.
