Wichita Falls, Texas - Oklahoma Christian (19-14, 15-10) traveled to play a three-game series against Midwestern State (5-26, 3-19), with game one taking place Friday night.

The Eagles started hot, with Brooklin Bain getting a lead-off double to open up the game. Kadence Brewster continued the strong start with an RBI single to center field to get the Eagles on the board first.Â
Aaliyah Brown, with a disciplined at-bat, walked to put runners on first and second with just one out in the first, bringing up Grace Anderson to hit an RBI single up the first base line.Â
The disciplined at-bats continued with Whitney Walde and Kiley Janzen, bringing in one more run in the inning of a walk to go into the bottom of the first with a 3-0 lead.
The Eagles defense played a great game behind shutout pitching from Jill Dickson. Dickson pitched all seven innings, recording seven strikeouts and only allowing three hits. Dickson now holds a 10-4 record on the season.Â
The Eagle's bats stayed hot in the top of the seventh, starting with a lead-off single from Kadence Brewster. Brewster also showed great baserunning by stealing second base and advancing to third on a wild pitch. With Aaliyah Brown getting on again off a walk, the Eagles had two runners on base, setting up a perfectly executed bunt from Grace Anderson to score Brewster from third.Â
Kristen Whitehouse loaded the bases with a single up the right-field line, and the Eagles brought in two runs without putting the ball in play, with Whitney Walde hit by pitch and Karsyn Iltis drawing a walk.Â
Kate Paulsen stepped up into the batter's box as a pinch hitter with the bases loaded and was able to get on base off a fielder's choice. The Eagles scored two more off a walk, and Kallie Rupp's RBI fly out to take game one 8-0.Â
