Oklahoma City, Okla. - Oklahoma Christian (3-12, 3-9) opened a home series with Lubbock Christian (9-7) Friday evening.

Game 1
The Eagles took the lead early in the bottom of the first with a lead-off double from
Antonio Sabala and a perfectly placed bunt by
Sloan Laird to put the Eagles on the corners. Sabala was driven in on a
Hunter Jones RBI sacrifice fly, and
Justin Spencer had an RBI single to give OC a 2-0 lead.

The Chaps got one back in the top of the second with a solo home run and added two more in the top of the third inning.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Spencer got on base again, and Jayden Boyce hammered out a two-run RBI home run to give the Eagles some momentum.

Later, in the bottom of the fifth, with
Ethan Box and
Hunter Jones on the bases, Spencer would hit a hard ball into the right field corner, and the Eagles would get two runs in off an error from the Chaps to bring the Eagles within two.

The Chaps were able to add a few more runners in the top of the ninth to extend their lead to six and were able to hold off the Eagles in the ninth despite a few errors.

- Justin Spencer had a great night at the plate, going 3-4 with 2 RBIs and a run.
- Jadan Boyce also knocked in 2 RBIs, with a two-run home run, and drew a walk.
- Chris Jones was dominant in 3 and â…” innings, only allowing one hit, and struck out 3 Chaps.
