Oklahoma City, Okla- No. 16 Oklahoma Christian (2-3) hosted their cross-town rivals, No. 3 University of Central Oklahoma (1-4), to kick off the UCO/OC Softball Festival. 
What went down 
To start the game, the Eagles gave the ball to Jill Dickson in the circle. In the Bronchos' first at-bat, they were able to grab the early one-run lead. 
This lead did not last long as sophomore Kadence Brewster stepped up as the lead-off batter and blasted a home run to tie the game up at one. 
The Bronchos got the lead back in the top of the third inning with a two-run double. 
Grace Anderson came in relief and shut down UCO, and the Eagles followed the spark brought by Anderson with a big offensive inning in the bottom of the fifth. With the bases loaded, Whitney Walde stepped up and knocked a three-run double to deep-left center. 
The Eagles, behind Anderson, shut down the Bronchos and got the big win to open up the OC/UCO softball festival.

	Kadence Brewster leads the Eagles with getting on base in both her at-bats, with 1 hit and 1 base on balls, her 1 hit being a home run as the lead-off batter in the first.

	Whitney Walde had 1 hit in 3 at-bats. The 1 hit came in the 5th and drove in 3 RBIs.

	Kristen Whitehorse had 2 hits on the day and scored once for the Eagles.

	Jill Dickson got the start and went 4 innings, facing 19 batters, striking out 4.

	Grace Anderson came in to pitch 3 innings and get the win. Facing 9 batters, she only allowed 1 hit and struck out 1.

The Eagles will play No. 19 Roger State University tomorrow afternoon, the game is set to start at 3:30 p.m. but will follow the game between Rogers State vs. Oklahoma Baptist.
