Oklahoma City, Okla. - Oklahoma Christian (11-6, 7-2) hosted Texas A&M International (5-12, 2-5) in the series finale Sunday afternoon.
Game 3
What Went Down
Grace Anderson started in the circle for the Eagles and pitched six no-hit innings, only allowing two hits while striking out four Dustdevils.
In the first two innings, the Eagles were able to make solid contact with the ball, but the game remained scoreless until the bottom of the third when Tristyn Hamilton singled through left field and quickly stole second base. Brooklin Bain drew a walk and advanced on a passed ball, and with some heads-up baserunning, Bain advanced to second, and Hamilton came in to score the lead-grabbing run.
The good hitting and outstanding base running continued for the Eagles as Kadence Brewster hit a double through the left side, to be driven in by a triple to right center from Kristen Whitehouse. Kiley Brewster then came up to the plate and hit a rocket off the glove of the TAMUI second baseman to touch all the bases for an inside-the-park home run.
In the bottom of the fifth, the Eagles' offense kept rolling with a Brooklin Bain single and a stolen base. After a Whitney Walde walk, Kadence Brewster launched a ball to right field for a stand-up two-RBI triple but was called out stretching for one more.
The Eagles would score one more run in the bottom of the sixth, as Kallie Rupp smoked a double into the gap and was driven in by a double from Kiley Brewster.
The Dustdevils put a few runs on the board in the seventh, but Haylee Monden closed the game in the circle, and the Eagles earned the series sweep.
