Brown’s Three-Run Blast Leads Eagles Past Hilltoppers in Series Finale

Austin, Texas - Oklahoma Christian (8-6, 3-2) took on St. Edward's (4-11, 2-2) in the final game of the three-game series.

What Went Down

The Eagles found themselves down early, as the Hilltoppers were able to score a run in their first at-bat.

The Eagles were able to tie it up as Brooklin Bain walked to lead off the top of the 6th inning, and Aaliyah Brown was able to drive Bain in on an RBI double to left center.

Marissa Powell kept the inning going with a single into left and advanced to second on an error, putting Eagle runners on second and third with Presley Main up to bat.

The Hilltoppers got out of the jam and kept the game tied as they went into the bottom of the 6th inning.

The Eagles held the game tied into the 7th inning, as Tristyn Hamilton got on first with a leadoff single.

Tristyn Hamilton and Brooklin Bain were on the corners as Aaliyah Brown stepped back into the batter's box with two outs. Brown knocked a deep ball to left field for a 3-run home run to take a 3-run lead in the 7th inning.

The defense from the Eagles held up as they were able to shut the Hilltoppers down and take the series win.
