Austin, Texas - Oklahoma Christian (7-6, 3-2) went to Austin, Texas, to take on St. Edward's (4-11. 2-2) for the three-game conference series.
Game 1
What Went Down
The Eagles got things started quickly as Brooklin Bain hit a lead-off triple, and Whitney Walde came in the box to hit an RBI sacrifice fly to the outfield to give the Eagles the early lead.
Grace Anderson started in the circle for the Eagles, opening up with a clean first inning. Anderson faced batters faced, and all three batters were sent back to the dugout.
Whitney Walde led the Eagles off with a double to center field in the sixth inning. Aaliyah Brown then advanced Walde with a single to right field. Presley Main came in as a pinch runner, and as she stole second base, Walde crossed home and stretched the Eagles lead.
Grace Anderson pitched the complete game shutout, only allowing three hits, one walk, and striking out three.
Game 2
What Went Down
The Hilltoppers were quick to get the momentum in the game, scoring eight runs in the first two innings.
In the top of the third, the Eagles were able to find their offense, with back-to-back hits putting Aaliyah Brown and Kristen Whitehouse on base. Later in the inning, Karsyn Iltis singled up the middle that would score one. Another single up the middle from Kiley Brewster would score another run for the Eagles to close the gap a bit for the Eagles.
The Eagles scored one more run in the sixth inning, with an RBI from Kadence Brewster, but the Eagles would fall short of a complete comeback to even the series at one each before tomorrow's final game.
