Eagles Fall in Second Game Against Bronchos

Oklahoma City, Okla. - Oklahoma Christian (2-8) hosted the University of Central Oklahoma (11-0) at Dobson Field to close out the weekend home and home series with the cross-city rivals.

What Went Down

The Bronchos were able to put the bat on the ball early and capitalized on some mistakes made by the Eagles to put two bases on, and then their batter drove one deep over center field to score three.

The Eagles answered with a home run of their own from Hunter Jones to put the Eagles on the scoreboard with one run.

The Bronchos were able to get a few more runs across the plate in the top of the second and third innings.

In the bottom of the third, the Eagles were led off by Coby Feris hit by a pitch, followed closely by a Sam Rodman two-ruin blast to left field. Back-to-back doubles from Sloan Laird and Hunter Jones led to an RBI for Jones, and Ethan Box drove in Jones on an RBI single through the right side.

Daniel Serrato capped the five-run inning with an RBI single of his own, cutting the UCO lead down to two at 8-6.

The Bronchos responded by scoring eight unanswered runs over the next four innings to grab a 16-6 win over the Eagles.
