No. 22 Eagles Pitching Leads to Win in Series Finale Over the Chaps

Lubbock, Texas -  Oklahoma Christian (6-5, LSC 2-1) played Lubbock Christian (2-5, LSC 1-2) in the rubber match of the opening series of Lone Star Conference play.

What Went Down

The Eagles got the offense started early with a lead-off hit from Kadence Brewster, who then showed smart base running to find her way to third off of two Chap mistakes. Aaliyah Brown then hit a hard ground ball up the left side of the field to bring Brewster home, giving the Eagles the early lead.

Jill Dickson found her groove in the circle early, striking out five Chap batters in the first three innings and holding a shutout through six inning

Heading into the seventh inning, the Eagles would hold a two-run lead. The Eagles' bat would get hot again and tack on two more runs with RBIs from Whitney Walde and Kristen Whitehouse.

Jill Dickson would pitch six innings for the Eagles and record eight strikeouts. Grace Anderson would come in the seventh inning to close the game and strike out the side to seal the win for the Eagles and complete the shutout.
