Oklahoma City, Okla- Oklahoma Christian (2-5) hosted University of Arkansas Fort Smith (3-0) for the final game of their four-game conference series Saturday at Dobson Field.
What went down
The pitching struggles continued for the Eagles as the Lions' first two batters went down in order, but then the Eagles put six straight Lions on base, walking two runs across home.
The Eagles could answer those two runs with two runs of their own. Getting runners on base early in the inning and then on a Sloan Laird hard-hit grounder to third and an error by the third basemen, the Eagles brought two runners across home plate.
The Lions answered with a four-run inning of their own in the top of the second.
A bright spot for the Eagles came in the sixth inning as Tristan Copeland came in to pitch the Eagles out a base-loaded jam, retiring three straight hitters to strand three Lions.
The Eagles cannot get anything going offensively and fall again to the Lions, 12-2.
Up Next
