Lady Eagles Claw Their Way Over Hillcats Behind Career High 21 Point Performance From Bradley

EDMOND, Okla. - The Oklahoma Christian Lady Eagles (3-1, 0-0 LSC) sent the team into Thanksgiving break on a three-game winning streak after taking down the Rogers State Hillcats (3-3, 0-0 MIAA) in a career night from senior Kate Bradley, claiming the 76-66 win in the Nest.

First Quarter - OC 11 - RSU 13

Taylor Jackson opened the game for the Lady Eagles, finding her way to the basket on the first two OC possessions. She then put intense pressure on the opponent with a full-court press, got the steal, and found Nakia Cullom to finish the fastbreak.

The Hillcats found a groove on defensive, holding the Eagles scoreless in seven minutes of gameplay.

Cullom broke the drought for the Eagles with a fast break layup, followed by a big three-pointer at the top of the key from Caitlynn Jordan off the bench. This helped the Lady Eagles battle back to get within a possession at the end of the first.

Second Quarter - OC 33 - RSU 32

Cullom started the second quarter looking to set the tone for the Lady Eagles, tying the game at 13 early into the second quarter. Cullom would knock down another quick basket to bring her first-half total to eight.

Taylor Jackson would start to do Taylor Jackson things, scoring seven in the quarter and helping the Lady Eagles go into the locker room with a one-point lead over the Hillcats.

Third Quarter - OC 54 - RSU 49

Bradley and Cullom's senior leadership set the standard for the third quarter, which saw the Lady Eagles drop six out of the half. Cullom and Bradley's hot shooting from the field brought energy to the bench, as Caitlynn Jordan and Ciara Harris combined for nine points in the third quarter. The two helped give the Lady Eagles a five-point lead over the Hillcats in the fourth quarter.

Fourth Quarter - OC 76 - RSU 66

The Lady Eagles fought off the last clawing efforts of the Hillcats as Kate Bradley finished the game off with a final quarter 12-point performance, going 4-5 from the field, 2-2 from long range, and 2-2 from the charity stripe and finishing her career-high 21 point performance, sending the Lady Eagles into conference play on a three-game winning streak.
