EDMOND, Okla. - For the first time since 2021, Oklahoma Christian will compete in the Lone Star Conference Tournament when the Eagles and their first 20-win season in program history meet No. 10 Angelo State Thursday, Nov. 21 at 2:30 p.m. CT from Canyon, Texas.

EAGLE OUTLOOK (20-10, 9-7 LSC)
Oklahoma Christian punched its ticket to the Lone Star Conference Tournament after defeating Western New Mexico in the regular season finale, 3-1. Chloe Jones spearheaded the winning effort with a match-high 17 kills with a .429 while also recording 12 digs, three block assists and and two service aces, tallying 20.5 total points. Jones closed the regular season with the second most kills in the league (368) and is tied for the fewest errors among players in the league with at least 900 total swings and the fewest errors among players with at least 1000 total swings.

Annie Davis, who owns a program-record 566 career kills, and Camryn McGough assisted Jones with the offense, recording 13 and seven kills while hitting .250 and .385, respectively. Additionally, McGough's LSC-11th most 0.96 blocks per set, along with Lauren Cary's sixth-most 1.00 blocks per set, has bolstered an OC team seeing 2.22 blocks per frame, which is third in the league.

Sophie Mae Smith (585) and Lauren McClure (555) are responsible for 86 percent of Oklahoma Christian's assists this season, as Smith is 17th in the conference with 5.18 assists per set. McClure, a former JUCO All-American, is 16 assists away from 2500 career assists. The second-year Eagle has dished out 1040 dimes during her OC career.

This is Oklahoma Christian's third appearance in the LSC Tournament, but only its first with the current eight-team format. The Eagles qualified for the 12-team postseason tournament back in 2020 and 2021, where OC got its only tournament victory as the No. 12 seed against No. 5 seed Texas A&M-Commerce, 3-1. Oklahoma Christian will need to snap a two-match losing streak to claim its second all-time tournament win, having not beaten Angelo State since 2022.

SCOUTING No. 10 ANGELO STATE (25-2, 15-1 LSC)
A staple volleyball program in the Lone Star Conference, AVCA No. 10 and No. 2 seed Angelo State is making its 17th consecutive appearance in the LSC Tournament. The Rambelles enter the tournament with its most regular season wins (25) since 2019, when ASU reached the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Semifinals. Angelo is currently riding a 13 match winning streak and have won 12 consecutive sets and 21 of its last 23.

The Rambelles have not needed a ton of help to deliver their recent dominance as they are producing 18.01 points per set themselves, which leads the conference. Angelo State is holding teams to a second-best .167 hitting percentage while hitting .252 themselves for third in the league. The Top-10 program also leads the LSC with 14.55 kills per set - seventh in NCAA DII - thanks to outside hitters Madi Parrish and Evelyn Torres, who are second and third in the conference, respectively, with 3.92 and 3.91 kills per set.
