Men's Bowling Completes Inaugural 2024 Tournament

WAUWATOSA, Wis.- Oklahoma Christian men's bowling kicked off the 2024-25 season with a Tier 1 tournament, bowling the Midwest Collegiate Championships in Wauwatosa, Wis. 

Day One


For the weekend OC needed to finish qualifying in the top eight of the 53-team field. Day one of the tournament consisted of five team games in which the Eagles rolled a total of 5,188, which put them in 10th place with 16 baker games left to bowl on day two. 

Day Two

After 16 baker games, Oklahoma Christian men's bowling finished in the eighth spot at the end of qualifying with a total of 8,573 to sneak into match play.

Round one they faced off against the No. 1 seed in Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in a best two out of three match. The Eagles lost game one by six pins, then followed it up with two blow out victories to move onto the next round.

Round two OC faced off against the defending national champions in Webber International. Unfortunately, Oklahoma Christian would fall down to the No. 5 seed in a 2-0 sweep, finishing the tournament in fourth place.

Men's bowling heads to Indianapolis, Ind. next week for the Columbia 300 Western Shootout for their first Tier 2 tournament of the season.
