DENTON, Texas - Oklahoma Christian (2-9, LSC 1-6) played their second game in Texas this week against No. 18 Texas Woman's (11-3, LSC 5-1) in Denton on Saturday afternoon.
First Quarter
TWU used a big first quarter to take a 22-6 lead into the second quarter and create a lead they would hold throughout the game in Denton. Daijah Torns, Ahniya Melton, and Asiyha Smith each scored two points in the quarter for the Lady Eagles.
Second Quarter
The Eagles fought back in the second quarter, scoring fifteen in the second ten minutes of play. Led by Brooklin Bain with six points and Torns with four points, the Eagles were able to begin to climb their way out of the deficit. OC ended up tying TWU 15-15 in the quarter.
Third Quarter
The third quarter was a back-and-forth battle, with both teams able to get their scoring going early. Torns continued to have a big game for the Eagles, scoring five in the quarter. OC also saw production from the bench, as four Eagles scored at least a bucket.
Fourth Quarter
The Pioneers were able to close out strong, outscoring the Eagles 20-12 to finish the game. The Eagles saw most of their scoring from the bench again in the fourth quarter, led by Kendall Brown, who scored four in the final quarter.
