TYLER, Texas - Four Eagles, led by
Quinton Johnson II with nineteen, scored in double figures to lead the OC (5-7, 2-4) to its third consecutive victory in a win at Texas Tyler on Thursday night.

First Half
The Eagles wasted no time in the new year, taking a 24-9 midway through the first half, with a host of players chipping in, led by
Moun'Tae Edmundson with six points on during the run.

Oklahoma Christian kept the Patriots at bay the entire half, taking a 44-29 lead into the break. Edmundson scored 10 points to lead the Eagles,
Karlyn Kenner, and
Bryce Kennedy each added 8 points, and
Jovan Savic returned to the lineup, adding 7 points.

OC did an incredible job taking care of the ball in the first half as well, only turning it over three times while forcing UTT into ten, leading to eleven points.

Second Half
The Patriots came swooping back in the second half, tying the game at 63-63 with 6:26 to play and taking a 68-67 lead at the 1:49 mark.

Bryce Kennedy responded for the Eagles with a layup to put OC back on top, and the Eagles were able to seal the game at the free throw line, with Johnson II knocking down four of them in the final minute to earn the Eagles a 74-71 win to open 2024.
