LIBERTY, Mo. - Women's soccer (2-0-1) hit the road for its first road trip out of the city for a two-game weekend in Missouri, opening the weekend with a match against William Jewel College (0-2-0).
Breanna Wooten shined in her first start in an Eagles' uniform, earning a clean sheet while making five saves in her debut.
The two teams took some time to adjust to each other's styles, each taking just four shots in the first half. OC's best look came when
Zoe Ross struck a ball towards the lower left corner of the goal, which the keeper got a hand on to keep the score even at halftime.
In the second half, Oklahoma Christian came out firing taking eleven shots in the second half. And they finally broke through in the 60th minute, when
Kyla Lovelace found freshman
Ruta Andrews, scoring her first career goal that would go on to be the game-winner.
The assist was Lovelace's second of the season, building on her week that has already included a goal.
