SILVER CITY, N.M. - Oklahoma Christian volleyball (8-7, LSC 2-2) opened a road trip to Silver City, New Mexico, and Laredo, Texas, with a sweep at Western New Mexico (4-12, LSC 0-5).

FIRST SET
Oklahoma Christian came out firing, taking a 12-6 lead early with kills from five different Eagles. Three kills from
Annie Davis extended the lead to 21-10, and OC went on to win the opening set 25-14.Â
Katy Geurin,
Kathryn Christie, and Davis each had three or more kills to lead the offense.

SECOND SET
The second set looked similar, and Oklahoma Christian used a 5-1 run to take a 20-11 to separate them from the Mustangs. Christie had two kills in the final three points to put WNMU down two sets.

THIRD SET
OC jumped out to a 5-0 set and looked to put Western New Mexico away, but the Mustangs rallied back to take an 8-7 lead. There were eight ties or lead changes in the teens, and the Eagles looked to have separated themselves again at 20-16. But WNMU again rallied and took a 24-23 lead. OC went up 25-24 before WNMU responded with back-to-back points.
Lauren McClure and
Annie Davis put Western New Mexico away with two kills to take a 30-28 set three victory and a 3-0 match win.

- Davis and Geurin tied to lead the Eagles attack with 11 kills each.
- Brylie Berryman had 20 digs to lead the defense and also led in aces with two.
- Lauren McClure dished out 30 more assists to feed the balanced attack.
- Megan Rek had three blocks to assist in protecting the net.
