Oklahoma City, Okla. - Oklahoma Christian resumed conference play today with the series opener against the West Texas A&M Buffs at Dobson Field.
Â
West Texas jumped out to an early lead, putting up four runs in the first inning due to some early pitching struggles by the Eagles.

Â
In an effort to get the Eagles rolling,
Hunter Jones and
Chance Westervelt led off the bottom of the second with back-to-back singles. The two then went on to score on RBIs by

Jaren Hill.
Â
With consecutive 3-run innings in the 4th and the 5th, the Buffs would put together a lead that the Eagles were unable to overcome.
Â
The Eagles went toe-to-toe with the Buffs behind the plate recording 11 hits to their 12, as each batter for the Eagles recorded a hit.
Â
John Skweres shined in the 7th and 8th inning by not allowing a hit and striking out four of the seven batters he faced.
