Eagles complete sweep with 5-2 victory over Javelinas

Kingsville, Texas - Grace Anderson and Jill Dickson teamed up to shut down the Javelinas offense for a second day in a row, and a big fourth inning gave the Eagles a sweep on their final road trip of the regular season.

Kingsville took its only lead of the game in the bottom of the second when a double and a walk led to a two-RBI double.

In the bottom of the third, Anderson got back on track picking up a strikeout, and Walde caught a runner stealing to help put up a scoreless frame.

Kylie Janzen and Aaliyah Brown led off the top of the fourth with back-to-back singles, but consecutive fielder's choices left the Eagles with runners on 1st and second with two outs.

With two outs, OC rallied for four runs, and a Boo Robinson RBI double got the Eagles on the board. Kadence Brewster followed that by working a walk to load the bases, and Grace Anderson came home to score on a wild pitch to tie the game. And with two outs and runners on second and third, Karsyn Iltis gave Oklahoma Christian a 4-2 lead on a pinch-hit, two-RBI single.

Anderson's day ended in the fifth, holding TAMUK scoreless after a leadoff double, and Jill Dickson came in and spun to scoreless innings to register her first save of the season.

The Eagles added an insurance run in the top of the seventh when Walde scored Kadence Brewster on a sacrifice fly. Brewster reached base on a leadoff double and moved to third on a sacrifice bunt from Hannah Pate.

Dickson sat the Javelinas down in order in the bottom of the seventh, securing Anderson's fourth win and a series sweep for Oklahoma Christian.
