Oklahoma Christian baseball honors twenty seniors on Senior Day

Oklahoma City, Okla. - Oklahoma Christian honored twenty seniors on Senior Day as they continued a series against Cameron University with a doubleheader at Dobson Field.

GAME 1

Cameron put up five runs on three hits, and an error in the top of the first take an early lead in game one.

Jayce Meyer entered the game and shut down the Aggies' attack, holding them scoreless over 2.1 innings played.

The Eagles' offense scored for runs with two outs in the bottom of the third to cut the lead to 5-4. Marcus Johnson brought the first run home on an RBI single, scoring Connor Jackson. Colteon Hinkle picked up the next RBI on a bases-loaded walk, and OC scored two more runs on a Grant Lake RBI single. And the fourth run scored on a throwing error after the single.

CU scored two runs in the fourth and seventh innings to take game one 9-4.

GAME 2

Alex Bruce got the start and was off to a good start, possibly should have had an inning-ending strikeout, but the at-bat turned into a three-run rally starter. Bruce picked up where he started after the rally, holding Cameron scoreless in the second and third innings.

In the bottom of the third, Evan Starr got the first hit of his career, lacing a two-out double to left center.

Tyler Reiter came in at the top of the fourth inning and sat the side down in order, ending the inning by snagging a comebacker.

Blake Empkey had a double, and Jaren Hill had a single over the fourth and fifth innings.

Cameron scored five runs in the top of the 6th to take an 8-0 lead that would go on to be the final score.
