Eagles and No. 4 Patriots battle to the 11th before the Patriots prevail

Tyler, Texas - The Eagles set out to take a game from the No. 4 Patriots in the final game of the series, and an epic 11 inning battle ensued.

Oklahoma Christian struck first, taking a 1-0 lead in the top of the third, on a Kristen Whitehouse RBI single. Whitehouse had incredible game, going 4-6 at the plate with three doubles, bringing home three runs, and scoring two herself.

In the fourth inning OC added a run on a Brooklin Bain RBI single, scoring Kate Bradley, who was pinch running for Aaliyah Brown.

Jill Dickson was spinning another gem through four innings, only allowing one hit while holding the No. 4 team in the nation scoreless. But the Patriots struck in the fifth inning, with two solo home runs with two outs to tie the game at two all.

The sixth through the ninth saw each team shut each other down offensively with OC collecting a hit, and UTT picking up two over those three innings. But in the top of the 10th Oklahoma Christian tripled their hit count and took the lead on an Aaliyah Brown RBI single.

But UT Tyler responded in the bottom of the 10th, tying the game on an RBI single of their own.
