Laredo, Texas - Eagles earn series sweep with a split on Saturday with another ten-run performance and almost win the series with a late rally in game two.

Game 1: OC 10, TAMIU 4

Blake Empkey picked up his second win of the season while navigating a 12-hit performance from the Dustdevils' offense, only allowing two runs over six innings.

Grant Lake reached on a single, and
Chance Westervelt put runners in scoring position with a double, and they both came home to score on a TAMIU error. Giving OC a 2-0 lead in the top of the first.

International scored a run on an RBI single in the bottom of the first to cut the lead in half. But Westervelt answered that with a two-RBI single, stretching OC's lead out to 4-1.

Marcus Johnson plated Lake in the top of the fourth with an RBI single, and
Hunter Jones picked up two RBIs with a double, bringing home Westervelt and Johnson.

With a 7-1 lead, Empkey worked his way around runners on first and second with 1 out, forcing a double play to get out of the inning. In the 5th the Dustdevils picked up an RBI on a single before Empkey got them to ground into another double play.

OC picked up three runs in the sixth on a
Preston King three-RBI double, scoring Jones,
Jaren Hill, and
Michael DiFiore, taking a 10-2 lead into the bottom of the inning.

The book closed with two RBI singles in the bottom of the 7th, as Oklahoma Christian Cruised to a 10-4 win.

Game 2: TAMIU 8, OC 7
Â
Game two got off to a much different start, with TAMIU scoring in the first three innings to take an 8-0 lead. The Dustdevils scored on two two-RBI singles, two RBI singles, and two errors.

The Eagles' pitching settled in, holding Texas A&M International scoreless the rest of the game. They got shutout innings from
Jayce Meyer,
Brady Wiesinger,
Gabe Dixon,
Ryan Hill, and
Chris Huerta.

OC's offense came around in the final two innings, starting with
Grant Lake scoring on an error in the 8th inning.
Â
Trailing 8-1, OC started a rally in the 9th. Lake started the rally with a two-RBI single, followed by him and
Preston King scoring on an error, and DiFiore picking up an RBI on a groundout.
Hank Heiselbetz looked to keep the rally going with a two-out RBI single before TAMIU got a strikeout to hold on to win 8-7.Â
