Oklahoma City, Okla. - The Eagles doubled their way to a lead halfway through the game before a late rally gave No. 3 Angelo State the lead and the win.

A couple of a single and a stolen base in the top of the first led to an RBI single for ASU, giving them a 1-0 lead early.

The offense was shut down early, but after the one run in the top of the first, the Eagles shut down the Rams as well. During the bottom of the fourth, back-to-back doubles from
Preston King and
Ethan Box led to an RBI for Box and a tie game through four innings.

In the fifth, the Eagles set down Angelo in order, and a lead-off single from
Grant Lake, got things started in the bottom of the inning.
Jaren Hill followed up the single with an RBI double, scoring Lake and giving OC a 2-1 lead.

Angelo scored a pair of runs in the top of the 6th, aided by an error, and took a 3-2 lead. In the top of the 8th, the Rams rattled off a six-run inning to take a 9-3 lead and they followed that with a solo home run in the top of the 9th to take a 10-2 lead.

Hunter Jones singled, Lake walked, and Hill brought Jones home to score with an RBI single.
After the single, Angelo State worked their way around the bases runners to hold onto a 10-3 win at Dobson Field.
