Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - The Lady Eagles used the momentum offensively on Thursday and parlayed it into a win over Texas A&M International, with four Eagles in double-figures.
For the second consecutive game, the Eagles opened the game with an 8-0 run, led by
Kate Bradley with two threes, part of her 12 points on the night. The Dustdevils tried to cut into the lead, cutting it to 10-8, but OC used a 9-2 run to close out a 19-10 first quarter. Bradley led the way with 9 points in the quarter.
The second quarter saw TAMIU cut the lead down to 4 before OC ran the lead back up to double digits for the half. The Eagles took the double-dight lead on a Bradley 3-pointer, her fourth of the half. And Natalie SMith ended the half with a three, to give Oklahoma Christian a 37-26 at the break.
Brooklin Bain and
Kate Bradley led the Lady Eagles in the half with 11 and 12 points, respectively. And the Eagles shot 57% from the field in the half.
In the second half OC opened a 14-point lead, but the Dustdevils didn't quit, cutting the lead down to 48-44 at the end of the quarter.
The Dustdevils cut the lead to 55-54 with 4:48, but Oklahoma Christian stifled the comeback attempt, holding off Texas A&M International with a gritty win in the Nest.
The Lady Eagles had 6 players score in the fourth quarter, led by
Natalie Smith with 4 points. OC never trailed in the game and had 15 assists on their 25 made baskets.
