Laredo, Texas - Fresh off the late midweek series at Tom Heath field, Oklahoma Christian made the quick turnaround with a doubleheader today at Texas A&M international.

Game 1: OC 6, TAMIU 3
Â
Oklahoma Christian struck first, with a 2 RBI double from
Aaliyah Brown giving the Eagles a 2-0 lead. The double scored
Brooklin Bain and
Hannah Pate, who reached on a hit-by-pitch and a walk.
Â
Jill Dickson got the start and almost worked her way around the same walk and hit-by-pitch situation, but the Dustdevils got a run across to cut the lead in half.
Â
Kelsey Gammage and Pate singled in the third and 4th inning, respectively. But nothing else happened for the Eagles.
Â
Brooklin Bain singled and stole second to open the top of the fifth, and Pate reached on an infield single to advance Bain to third base. Bain took advantage of the extra base and scored on a wild pitch to give OC a 3-1 lead.

In the bottom of the 6th, TAMIU tied it up after an RBI single that also resulted in an error that brought home a second run.

Pate leadoff the top of the 7th, and Pate walked again and stole second base.
Whitney Walde was also walked, and up came Brown, who made the Dustdevils pay with a three-run home run.

The home run was Brown's third of the season and brought her RBI total to a team-leading 20.

Payton Foster came in to pitch in relief and picked up the win for the Eagles, bringing her record on the season to 4-0.

Game 2: TAMIU 3, OC 2
Â
The Eagles struck first in the second game as well, but this time it was in the third inning.
Hannah Pate and
Whitney Walde each reached on singles and advanced to second and third on a wild pitch. And
Kristen Whitehouse got the Eagles on the board with a sacrifice fly RBI, her 5th of the season.

Payton Foster only saw three batters in the bottom of the third, getting two groundouts and a pop-up. And in the top of the fifth, OC added another run as
Kelsey Gammage, was hit by a pitch, stole second, and brought home by
Brooklin Bain with an RBI single.

TAMIU cut the lead in half in the bottom of the fifth with a fielder's choice RBI bringing the score to 2-1. And in the bottom of the 6th, the Dustdevils capitalized on the momentum by tying the game on an RBI infield single.

OC got runners on in the top of the 7th and top of the 8th, but no one came home to score and regain the lead. And in the bottom of the 8th, TAMIU walked it off on a walk-off walk with two outs.
