Laredo, Texas - The Eagles dusted the Dustdevils today in Laredo, as
Jill Dickson threw the 4th no-hitter in the DII era, and the offense put up seven runs.
Â
Oklahoma Christian scored in five consecutive innings, beginning in the 2nd on a
Chloe Woodward sacrifice fly that scored
Kate Paulsen. Paulsen pinch ran for
Aaliyah Brown, who was hit by a pitch to start the inning.
Â
Jill Dickson, who struck out seven Dustdevils and threw the fourth no-hitter since OC joined the NCAA DII ranks, faced the minimum in the bottom of the second.
Â
Kelsey Gammage reached first base to begin the third inning and advanced to second on a groundout.
Whitney Walde brought Gammage home with an RBI single to center field to give OC a 2-0 lead.
Â
Dickson picked up two strikeouts in the bottom of the third, sitting TAMIU down in order.
Â
Kristen Whitehouse opened the top of the first with a single, and Kylie Jansen scored her on an RBI triple to the right-center gap, extending the lead to 3-0.
Â
Brooklin Bain made it three straight innings that the Eagles opened the inning with a single, and she stole second to get into scoring position.
Hannah Pate walked, and Bain came home to score later, on a fielder's choice that included a TAMIU error.
Â
Whitehouse made it second and third with two outs after she singled and stole second. And
Boo Robinson brought Brown and Whitehouse home with a 2 RBI double, bringing the lead to 6-0.
Â
The final run for the Eagles came in the 6th when Gammage singled and stole second and then came across to score on two Dustdevil errors.
Â
Dickson picked up her 5th win of the year and was a walk away from a perfect game. Her no-hitter was the first since
Grace Anderson's perfect game against Western New Mexico last year.

THOUGHTS FROM COACH RODRIGUEZ
Â
It's always good to see our team bounce back and get a series win, even when we are still not playing our best ball. We have a lot of depth and will continue to use it until we find some sort of rhythm with our offense. We took a tough loss yesterday, so it was great to see our team come out with a little chip on their shoulder and play like we know how. Jill threw a great game, her first collegiate no-hitter, and our offense had better execution and timely hitting today.
