OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla - Oklahoma Christian (1-4, LSC 0-1) opened up Lone Star Conference play Thursday night in The Nest by hosting Lubbock Christian (6-2, LSC 1-0)
FIRST QUARTER
The Chaps came out strong from the floor, shooting 69.2% from the field. This good shooting led them to take an early 14 point lead over the Eagles. Forward Taylor Jackson and guard Asiyah Smith worked hard to keep the Eagles in the game with a combined 8 points.
SECOND QUARTER
The Eagles made a great effort in the second quarter, outscoring The Chaps 16-13 in the second 10 minutes of the game. It was a whole team effort as six different Eagles scored. Jackson, along with 4 points, grabbed 4 boards to lead the Eagles in the first half.
The Eagles went into half down 11 and looked to continue their upward trend.
THIRD QUARTER
Oklahoma Christian came out with the same fire they had in the second quarter, looking to chip away at the lead and outscored Lubbock Christian by one to pull within 10. Jackson continued her great play by adding 4 points in the quarter.
FOURTH QUARTER
The Eagles continued the fight and led by guards Brooklin Bains and Keira Neal, OC pulled to within two of the Chaps. Although the Eagles final push would fall short of grabbing the lead, the Eagles finished the second half beating The Chaps 39-32.

Smith along with her 10 points, dished out 4 assists and grabbed 3 boards.

Bain racked up another double-double, scoring 10 points and getting 10 rebounds.

Daijah Torns gave the Eagles solid minutes with 6 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists.

Jackson gave an outstanding all around game, leading the team with 14 points and getting 5 boards.

Neal delivered for the Eagles with her 10 points, 2 assists and 4 rebounds.
