EDMOND, Okla. - Oklahoma Christian (1-3) took on their foes from down the road, University of Central Oklahoma (1-5) in the Eagles last game before opening up conference play.
FIRST QUARTERÂ
Forwards Jordan Francisco and Ahniya Melton fought to get the Eagles in the game, combining for 7 points and 4 rebounds to lead the team.
SECOND QUARTERÂ
Guard Asiyah Smith led the Eagles in the second quarter as she attacked the basket to draw a few fouls, going 4-4 from the free-throw line.
The Eagles had some trouble handling the ball, committing 9 turnovers in the second quarter of play.Â
THIRD QUARTERÂ
The Eagles came out of halftime looking to turn things around, and OC found their sparks from the bench in guard Nakia Cullom and forward Taylor Jackson so combined in the third quarter for 16 points. Jackson also found success on the glass grabbing 6 rebounds in the quarter.Â
FOURTH QUARTERÂ
OC found their game in the fourth quarter, outscoring UCO 26-23. Taylor Jackson continued to play well adding 4 points and 2 rebounds to her total. Brooklin Bain found her groove to score 7 and get 3 steals to finish the game. Asiyha Smith also continued her good second half with adding 5 points to her stat line.Â
