EDMOND, Okla. - The Lady Eagles opened the UCO Classic with a matchup against the Savage Storm of Durant, Oklahoma, in a matinee at Hamilton Field House.
FIRST QUARTER
Southeastern Oklahoma State jumped out to an early lead, ending the quarter on a 10-2 to take a 21-9 lead into the second quarter. Asiyha Smith led Oklahoma Christian in the quarter with five points and a steal.
SECOND QUARTER
OC rebounded in the second quarter, winning the quarter 12-11 on buckets from six different Eagles, highlighted by a Nakia Cullom with three points and a quarter-high +/- of 4.
THIRD QUARTER
The Eagles struggled to shoot in the third quarter, shooting under 19%. While OC shooting struggles continued, they fought hard on defense to stay in the game.
FOURTH QUARTER
OC found some momentum behind the three-point line going 4-7 and out scored SE 18-17 in the fourth quarter. Despite this effort, the Eagles fell to Southeastern Oklahoma State 49-67.
