Munn and Ross Put the Eagles on Top, Before UTT’s Late Goals Result in Draw

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Oklahoma Christian women's soccer (4-2-4, LCS 0-2-3) returned home to continue conference play against the UT Tyler Patriots (2-2-7, LCS 0-1-5) at Eagles Soccer Field. The Eagles had a goal in each half but ended the match in a draw after UT Tyler's timely goals in the second half.
WHAT WENT DOWN
  • OC maintained a slight advantage in the possession battle against UTT in the first half and took a total of 11 shots on their way to their first goal of the day in the 32nd minute. Evie Munn headed in her first goal as an Eagle off a Brooklyn Fink cross. OC went into the half with a 1-0 lead.
  • OC was aggressive early out of the half and landed their second goal of the day in the 68th minute. Holland Reece was credited with the assist off a well-placed cross off a throw-in that set up Zoe Ross for the header.
  • UTT mounted a quick comeback as Alexia Moreira launched a shot from just outside the 18-yard box, putting it just past the outstretched arms of Breanna Wooten at the 70-minute mark.
  • The Eagles tried to shore up their defense for the remaining 20 minutes, but it was not enough as UTT found the back of the net in the 82nd minute, leading to OC's fourth draw this season.
NOTES
  • Senior Holland Reece became the team leader in assists with her third assist of the season.
  • Freshman Evie Munn scored the first collegiate goal of her career to open the scoring for the Eagles.
