Eagles Stumble Against Rattlers

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla - Oklahoma Christian (6-3-5, LCS 2-3-4) looked to honor their seniors and to add to their two-game winning streak but was met by an onslaught of offensive from St. Mary's University (6-3-5. LCS 5-2-1). The Rattlers scored four on OC to win the game 4-1.

WHAT WENT DOWN

  • St. Mary's came out looking to get the offense going early, scoring two goals in the first nine minutes of play.

  • In the 35th minute of play, Kyla Lovelace found herself in the box and tried to make something happen for the Eagles, putting her body on the line and drawing a penalty kick. Senior Brooklyn Fink was then able to find the back of the net to put the Eagles on the board.

  • The Eagles took eight shots on goal but couldn't find another one to finish.

NOTES

  • With Brooklyn's goal, her season total is now up to four. And has moved up to ninth place in the conference for goals.

  • Freshman Goalie Breanna Wooten is now sixth in the conference for saves with 29.

SENIOR DAY

  • Oklahoma Christian honored five seniors today before the match, honoring Ashlee Jackson, Brooklyn Fink, Ellise Foreman, Rani Mueller, and Regan Keiser. Thank you to those five for your incredible careers so far, and good luck for the rest of the season and beyond.
