Eagles Stomp the Greyhounds

Portales, New Mex.- Oklahoma Christian (6-2-5, LCS 2-2-4)  took the long road trip up to New Mexico to take on the Greyhounds of Eastern New Mexico (1-9-4, LCS 0-7-1)  and left with a dominant 3-1 victory. 

WHAT WENT DOWN 

  • Freshman Breanna Wooten had four saves on the night.

  • In the 11th minute of play Zoe Ross scored her third goal of the season off an assist from Ruta Andwers. 

  • In the 35th minute of play Kyla Lovelace scored to keep her hot streak going. 

  • Soon after the half Hadley Horn scores OC's final goal off an assist from Rani Mueller.

NOTES 

  • Kyla Lovelace scores her fourth goal in two games. She now has eight goals on the season and is now tied as the leading scoring in the conference. 

  • With Ruta Andrews assist she is now up to five on the season and is tied third in the conference standings.

  • With Zoe Ross' goal tonight she jumps into the top-20 Lone Star Conference leaderboard. 

  • This brings OC's total to four girls in the top-20; Kyla Lovelace, Brooklyn Fink, Ruta Andrews, and Zoe Ross.

UP NEXT 

The Eagles will host St. Mary's on Saturday October 21st at Eagle Soccer Field. Kickoff will be at 1 p.m. as the Eagles will honor their senior before the game.
