Labor Day Matinee

Oklahoma City, Okla. - The Eagles (1-1-1) battled the Hawks (1-1-2) of Rockhurst (MO.) to a stalemate at Eagle Soccer Field. The Labor Day matinee was played in the mid-day heat, and the teams toughed it out to earn a draw.

OC started the match out strong with two early looks on goal, one in the first minute of the match. But as the teams settled in on defense, so did the temperatures, taking a toll on both teams.

After OC's first two shots, the next four were taken by the Hawks, but they were no trouble for goalkeeper Ashlee Jackson, making her first start of the season. Jackson finished the match with four saves.

The Eagles' last chance came on a throw-in as time expired, but after a great throw from Brooklyn Fink, Rockhurst was able to clear it off the line.

Oklahoma Christian will hit the road for their next matchup to take on East Central University in Ada at 4 P.M. on Thursday.
