Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - The Eagles rode the momentum of the Friday night sweep into a split on Saturday to finish the opening weekend with a record of 3-1.

OC's (2-1) first game against Southwest Baptist (1-2) was a five-set thriller that resulted in the Eagles' first loss of the season. The sets went Southwest Baptist (SBU) 25-11, OC 25-8, OC 26-24, SBU 25-22, and SBU 15-13.
Wendy Cobbah and
Sydney Collins each had 12 kills in the match,
Kelsie Schiefelbein led with 6 blocks, and
Brylie Berryman led the team in digs with 18.

In the nightcap, Oklahoma Christian (3-1) swept the Golden Suns of Arkansas Tech (1-3).
Olivia Hessman led the team in assists with 16,
Hannah Rouse led in digs with 10, and
Morgan Demuth added 4 blocks in the sweep.

The Eagles' 3-1 record was tied for the best record of the Eagle Classic, they tied with the University of Illinois Springfield (3-1), and OC was their lone loss. And the Eagles did not lose a set in a match that they won this weekend.Â

OC will be back in the Nest next weekend for the second weekend of the Eagle Classic, and their first match is next Friday at 11 A.M. against Southeastern Oklahoma State.
