Oklahoma City, Okla. - The Lady Eagles returned from their season-opening road trip to take on the Falcons of Texas Permian Basin in the Nest.
Oklahoma Christian battled from an early 14-5 deficit in the first quarter, to bring themselves within six as they trailed 20-14 heading into the second quarter.
Brooklin Bain led the offense with 5 points in the quarter, and
Kia White hit a three at the buzzer for the Eagles.
OC's defense was back on full display in the second quarter as they held UTPB to just 2-16 shooting from the field and won the quarter 13-11. Six Eagles scored in the quarter, and
Kate Bradley had 4 assists in the half as OC cut the lead to 31-27 at the break.
The Falcons extended their lead to nine at the end of the third quarter thanks to several trips to the line. Bain chipped in four points in the quarter to keep the Eagles within striking distance.
In the fourth quarter, Oklahoma Christian got as close as 44-50 before the Falcons went on a late run to pull away.
The Lady Eagles will be back in the Nest at 1 p.m. on Friday to take on Angelo State.
