Oklahoma City, Okla. - The Eagles returned to the Nest to open a six-game home stand on Thursday night, where they took on the Falcons of Texas Permian Basin.
Oklahoma Christian, led by
Nyk Madison, got off to an early lead as Madison scored six quick points in a half in which he scored 12 points on 6-6 shooting. But Texas Permian Basin, fueled by points off turnovers, took a 34-24 lead into the half.
OC came out scorching in the second half as they went on a 17-6 run to open the half and take a 41-40 advantage in the first five minutes of the half. The run was led by
Antonio Gordon with 4 points and two blocks,
Drew Tennial with 6 points, and
Moun'Tae Edmundson with 5 points.
UTPB went on to match the run and the game in the Nest.
The Eagles are back in the Nest at 3 p.m. on Saturday when they take on Angelo State.
