Lubbock, Texas – The Lady Eagles opened Lone Star conference play tonight in Lubbock against Lubbock Christian.
It was a tale of quarters as the Eagles battled in the second and fourth quarters to scores of 18-20, but LCU built its lead in the first and third.
Kate Bradley scored all six of her points in the second quarter to spark the Eagles' offensive attack, and in the fourth quarter, seven different Eagles scored.
Olivia Travis played well as she ended the game with 11 points and 7 rebounds.
Kia White scored 8 points, shooting 3 of 5 from the field.
Brooklin Bain finished with 9 points and 7 rebounds as well. The Eagles battled on the boards all night, winning the rebound battle against the Lady Chaps 38-36. This team effort led to several second-chance opportunities for the Eagles.
The Lady Eagles will look to get into the win column as they travel to Canyon, TX, on Saturday to face the No. 3 West Texas A&M Lady Buffs at 1:00 pm.
