Oklahoma City, Okla. - Eleven seniors were honored today at Eagle Soccer Field, and they were sent off the right way, with a win.
The Eagles (4-8-4, 2-7-2, LSC) took on the Falcons of Texas Permian Basin (5-7-3, 3-6-2 LSC). The match featured a return to form for the Eagles' defense which got its 6th shutout of the season. And Ashlee Jackson returned to goal, making two saves in her return to the field.
The offense had a good day as well creating opportunities and getting three shots on goal. And in the 43rd minute, Ellise Foreman scored what would turn out to be the game-winning goal, corralling and scoring on a loose ball in the box. Foreman's goal was her 3rd of the season, tying her for the team lead with Kyla Lovelace.
Oklahoma Christian will play the regular season finale on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at West Texas A&M, in Canyon, Texas.
