Oklahoma City, Okla. - Oklahoma Christian (12-8, 3-4 LSC) returned to the Nest to take on Dallas Baptist (17-3, 8-1 LSC) after playing on the road for the past two weeks.
The first set went back and forth up until a 15-15 tie, and from there, the Eagles went on a 9-2 run to win the opening set. OC was firing on cylinders with 14 kills spread out among six Eagles.
In set two, the teams battled to a 9-9 tie before the Patriots ended up winning 25-17 and tying the match.
Set three was a battle featuring multiple runs by each team. OC jumped out to a 3-0 lead, but DBU rallied from the early deficit to build a 14-11 advantage. The Eagles came back to take a 20-18 lead before the Patriots went on a 6-1 run to take a 24-21 lead. OC didn't go down easy though as they tied the set at 24 all, but DBU took the set 26-24.
Dallas Baptist, now holding a 2-1 set lead, built a 15-6 advantage in set four before Oklahoma Christian battled back to bring the set to 22-20. DBU ultimately won the set 25-20, and the match 3-1.
The Eagles are back in the Nest at 6 p.m. on Friday for a matchup against Cameron. Notable performances:
