Josh Imhoff and
Sam Butler won the Firecracker Doubles tournament hosted by the Springfield Bowling Center over the Independence Day holiday weekend.
Imhoff, a rising senior from Cabot, Ark., who was a first-team collegiate All-American in 2021 for the Eagles, and Butler, a rising senior from Texarkana, Texas, posted a combined score of 3,667 over eight games on Saturday to finish 23 pins ahead of the second-place duo in the 56-team event.
Butler scored 1,870, recording his two best games (267 and 277) in the final two games. Imhoff scored 1,797, with high games of 268 in game three and 258 in game five.
Butler also won the Scratch and Handicap Singles categories held during the event.
