OKLAHOMA CITY (Feb. 5, 2021) – Cold second-half shooting cost Oklahoma Christian a chance at an upset on Friday afternoon in the Eagles' Nest.
OC led regionally ranked Midwestern State (Texas) well into the third quarter, but the Lady Eagles made only 7 of 33 shots after halftime, allowing Midwestern State to rally for a 67-60 win in the first of two games in as many days between the Lone Star Conference basketball rivals.

Kendra Levings made 5 of 8 3-point attempts and scored a career-high 17 points for OC, while freshman
Brooklin Bain posted her fourth double-double in 10 collegiate games, finishing with 16 points and 10 rebounds. But they were the only two Lady Eagles to score in double figures.
Bain made 7 of 9 shots in the first half and had 15 points at halftime, at which point OC (4-6, 4-5 LSC) led the Mustangs 36-35. OC's final lead came at 42-40, after a 3-pointer by
Maddison Collyer Ingraham with 3:02 left in the third quarter.
Midwestern State – ranked No. 6 in the Division II Sports Information Directors Association's South Central Region poll – closed the quarter on a 9-1 run, though, and took a 49-43 advantage into the fourth quarter, then extended its lead to 53-43 on a layup by Frances King with 8:30 left in the game.
Eventually, the Mustangs built their lead to 15 points, although OC closed strong to cut the margin to six points in the final seconds.
Morgan Lenahan led Midwestern State (8-3, 7-3) with 15 points and 10 rebounds, while King had 12 points and Hannah Reynolds added 11.
The teams will play again at 1 p.m. Saturday.
