NORMAN, Okla. (Feb. 12, 2021) – Despite a 22-shot win in a tournament that included a highly ranked opponent, Oklahoma Christian didn't budge in the Bushnell Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll, released Friday.

OC remained at No. 20 – the same position it held in the pre-spring semester poll – even after taking the Houston Classic at The Golf Club of Houston in Humble, Texas, earlier this week. Among the teams in the field for that event was No. 11 Arkansas Tech, which also held its position from the preseason poll.

OC has won two of its three tournaments against NCAA Division II competition during the 2020-21 campaign, having also won The Hrnciar at The Territory Golf and Country Club in Duncan, Okla., in October.

The current top 10 in the poll includes South Carolina-Aiken, Lincoln Memorial (Tenn.), Lee (Tenn.) and Barry (Fla.) tied for third, Columbus State (Ga.), Indianapolis (Ind.), Findlay (Ohio), Lynn (Fla.), West Florida and Colorado State-Pueblo, which was the highest-ranked team from the South Central Region.

Other South Central Region teams ranked in the poll included No. 12 Colorado School of Mines, No. 19 Dallas Baptist (Texas) and OC.

OC finished fifth behind Indianapolis, Findlay, Lee and No. 25 Missouri-St. Louis in late September in the Brickyard Invitational in Speedway, Ind. The Eagles' next scheduled tournament is the Las Vegas Desert Classic, set for March 7-8 at Royal Links Golf Club's Links Replica Course in Las Vegas.
