LAS VEGAS (Dec. 19, 2021) – Josh Imhoff posted his first career all-tournament finish in a Tier I event while leading Oklahoma Christian into the match-play portion of the Glenn Carlson Las Vegas Invitational on Sunday at South Point Bowling Arena.

Imhoff, a junior from Cabot, Ark., rolled games of 228, 198 and 246 on Sunday to move up a spot to third place in the 315-man field with a final nine-game score of 1,996, just 72 pins behind the individual champion, Alec Dudley of St. Francis (Ill.). It was the 11th all-tournament finish during Imhoff's career at OC.

With a team score of 8,926, OC finished eighth in the 42-team field at 8,926, and was paired with ninth-seeded St. Francis in match play. St. Francis knocked off the Eagles 3-1 (188-171, 161-194, 215-192, 203-180) and went on to win two more matches to advance to the final, in which it lost to Pikeville (Ky.).

The Eagles had two other bowlers finish in the top 100 individually. Freshman C.J. Petrin of Chattanooga, Tenn., placed 22nd at 1,842, after rolling games of 256, 199 and 192 on Sunday. Mitchell Leonard, a sophomore from St. Charles, Ill., only rolled eight of the nine tournament games but still finished 88th at 1,614. He rolled a 203 on Sunday.

Also rolling 200-plus games on Sunday for OC were freshman Israel Reveles of Aguascalientes, Mexico (215), freshman Nathan Curnutt of Cocoa, Fla. (218) and junior Jacob Hastings of McKinney, Texas (214).

OC will begin another Tier I tournament – the Collegiate Shoot-Out – on Monday in the same venue.
