INDIANAPOLIS (Feb. 7, 2020) – Oklahoma Christian topped the South Central Region list when the NCAA released its first set of regional rankings for men's golf on Friday.

The Eagles have won three tournaments during the 2019-20 season, along with one second-place finish. OC is 54-1-1 this season against Division II competition, with the only loss coming to California-San Diego this week in the Fujikura Invitational at Shadowridge Golf Club in Vista, Calif. UCSD is ranked second in the West Region.

OC, coached by David Lynn, finished the 2018-19 season at No. 1 in the regional rankings and has qualified for the NCAA postseason in three of the four years in which it has been eligible to do so.

The South Central Region includes teams from the Lone Star Conference (of which OC is a member) and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conferences. In the NCAA postseason, the top 10 teams each from the South Central and West Regions will face each other in the Super Region Championship, set for May 4-6 at University Golf Course in Las Cruces, N.M.

The top finishers from each of four Super Regional tournaments advance to the Division II Championship, to be played May 12-16 at the Country Club of St. Albans in St. Albans, Mo.

Following OC in the South Central Region rankings were Colorado School of Mines, St. Mary's (Texas), St. Edward's (Texas), Midwestern State (Texas), Western New Mexico, Colorado State-Pueblo, Cameron, Dixie State (Utah) and Texas A&M-Commerce.

Of those, OC, St. Mary's, St. Edward's, Midwestern State, Western New Mexico, Cameron and TAMUC are Lone Star members.

The regional rankings will be updated in April.
