OKLAHOMA CITY (Nov. 24, 2019) – A perfect shooting performance – only the second in Oklahoma Christian's men's basketball history – earned Dedrian Parmer Jr. recognition Sunday as the Eagle of the Week.

Parmer finished 11 of 11 from the field on Saturday, scoring 28 points to lead the Eagles to a 65-57 win over Texas A&M International. Included in his performance were two 3-pointers. The only other OC player ever to make at least 10 field goals without a miss was John Moon, who tied the NCAA all-divisions record with a 20-of-20 outing in a win over Oklahoma Panhandle State in February 2016.

Parmer had a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds in a 58-57 loss to Texas A&M-Kingsville on Thursday, hitting a pair of tying free throws with 34 seconds left. In a 64-61 overtime win at Southwestern Oklahoma State on Monday, he played all 45 minutes and scored 18 points, hit a pair of free throws with 1:16 left in overtime that put OC ahead for good and drew a whopping 11 fouls.

He leads the Eagles in scoring, averaging 19.2 points per game.

Parmer received his first Eagle of the Week honor after the Eagles beat York (Neb.) in the annual homecoming exhibition game earlier this month.

The Eagle of the Week award recognizes the top performer in OC athletics for the previous week. The honor is presented each week at least one OC athletic team is in competition.
